About
Richard married his bride in 2007, and they have four children. Above all he’s a follower of Jesus. He’s been called a Renaissance man as his life experiences and interests are manifold. A Lover of fine things; fresh roasted coffee, aged cheese, classic books, and old hymns.
He holds a Master of Arts from Southern Seminary in Louisville, and a Bachelors of Arts from California State University, Northridge. He’s served in various capacities in three different local churches from usher to most recently the lead pastor at a local Southern Baptist Church.
Through the years he has traveled all over America, every state except Alaska. Hopefully that will change one day! From age 16 he has worked in the restaurant business and later the film industry gaining much knowledge about people and how the world works. The common thread through the last two decades is his work in the field of design and communications. Richard’s had the opportunity to serve countless small businesses and fortune 500 companies, as well as the single person Christian ministries and the large academic institutions.
He loves the local church and seeks to proclaim the goodness of the gospel of Christ both there and in the academy. Aside from these he keeps busy with homesteading, coffee roasting, and hosting his podcast; Contra Talk. He also writes and produces content for the organization, Truth Script ​a ministry dedicated to such a time as this, seeking to encourage Christians to not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of their minds.
